The Missaukee Area Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is made up of 8th through 12th grade Missaukee County students. The main purpose of YAC is to involve young people in addressing the issues facing their peers in Missaukee County. They address these issues through volunteerism, grantmaking, and creating awareness.

 

Members of the YAC have the responsibility of making decisions about the distribution of grant funds in the Missaukee Area Community  Foundation Youth Fund. These grants area awarded to programs and projects that address the needs of Missaukee County youth. All grants are approved by the Community Foundation's Board before they are distributed.
